5 Healthy Breakfast recipe to Kickstart your day:

Good morning, People! Starting your day with a delicious breakfast is the key to a productive and happy day. Breakfast is very important meal of our day which provides us with energy and nutrients we need to complete our daily routine. In today’s fast growing world we usually get caught up in the hustle of morning routines and skin breakfast most of the time.

Thats why I’m super excited to share with you my top 5 breakfast recipes that surely will become your new morning favorites. These recipes are easy to make, packed with yummy flavors and will give you the energy rush you need to start your day right.

1. Ragi Dosa

Ingredients: for batter- Paneer filling-

  • 1/4 cup ragi flour
  • 1/4 cup oats flour
  • 1/4 cup sooji
  • Onion
  • Coriander
  • Ginger
  • Green chilies
  • Paneer
  • Onions
  • Salt and pepper
  • Serve with coconut chutney and green chutney

Method:

  1. Mix ragi flour, oats flour and sooji with water to form a smooth batter, add onions, coriander, ginger and green chilies.
  2. Let the batter rest for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Sauté onions, add crumbled paneer, salt and pepper for the filling.
  4. Spread the batter in thin layer on a heated pan and cook until golden then flip.
  5. Add the paneer filling, fold and serve with coconut or green chutney.

For Tadka: Ingredients: for batter-

  • Ghee
  • Ajwain, Jeera
  • Finely chopped carrot, beans and capsicum
  • 1 cup Premix
  • 2.5 cup water
  • 1/4 cup dahi
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder, Turmeric
  • 1/2 cup green Moong daal
  • 1/2 cup Poha
  • 1/2 cup jowar atta
  • Dry roast all the ingredients and finely grind it one by one
  • Mix all and preserve in an airtight jar.

Method:

  1. Dry roast and grind all batter ingredients.
  2. Heat ghee, add ajwain and jeera.
  3. Sauté carrots, beans, and capsicum briefly.
  4. Add Premix, water, Dahi and spices.
  5. Cook until thick and serve hot.

Curd Poha:

Ingredients for batter- For Tadka-

  • 1/4 cup poha
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 1/2 grated cucumber
  • 1/2 grated carrot
  • 1 tps grated ginger
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tps olive oil
  • 1/4 tps mustard seeds
  • curry leaves
  • green chilies

Method:

  1. Rinse the poha in water and drain well. Set aside, in a mixing bowl, whisk the curd until smooth.
  2. Add the grated cucumbers, carrot, grated ginger, salt and pepper to the curd mixture.
  3. Add the rinsed and drained poha to the curd mixture. Mix gently until everything is well combined. Adjust Seasoning if necessary.
  4. In a small pan, heat oil for tempering. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  5. Add curry leaves and green chilies [if using]. Fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour the tempering over the curd poha mixture and give it a gentle stir.
  7. Serve immediately as a light and refreshing snack or breakfast option.

Chickpea Wrap:

Ingredients: For batter-

  • 1 cup cooked chickpeas
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato diced
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Whole wheat roti or tortillas
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 capsicum, thinly sliced
  • Green chutney [Mint or coriander-based]
  • Hung curd [Greek yoghurt] mixed with spices [such as cumin, coriander, chili powder, salt]

Method:

  1. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions and sauté it.
  2. Add the diced tomato to the pan and cook until it softens.
  3. Stir in the cooked chickpeas and cook for another 5-7 minutes then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Warm the whole wheat roti or tortillas on a separate pan.
  5. To assemble the wrap, spread a spoonful of green chutney over, 1/4th of the side of the warmed roti.
  6. Place a few lettuces leaves on the second part.
  7. Spoon the chickpea mixture on the third part.
  8. Top with sliced onions and capsicum.
  9. Drizzle the hung curd mixture.
  10. Roll up the wrap tightly, folding in the sides as you go.

Paneer Sandwich:

For Dressing: Blend these ingredients together into a smooth paste

  • Paneer
  • Green chutney
  • Garlic
  • Oregano
  • White pepper
  • Red chilly
  • Add:
  • Onion
  • Cucumber
  • Tomatoes

Method:

  1. Blend paneer, green chutney, garlic and spices.
  2. Take two bread slices and add lettuce.
  3. Layer with bell peppers, cucumber, and tomatoes.
  4. Spread dressing, assemble, and serve fresh.
